I am trying to get the carb set at the proper settings. Can anyone tell me what the best method for configuring the High/Low jets on the C1U model Zama' carbs? For a while.Jul 2, 2011 · If you can get it apart without tearing any of the gaskets or diaphragms, you may get by with just cleaning it with some carburetor cleaner (my favorite is Berryman Product's Chemtool Carburetor Cleaner). A side note in case someone doesn't know, the Mantis tiller is made by Echo sort of like the way a Chevy Prizm is actually a Toyota Corolla ... I haven't seen many of the Mantis tillers but I seem to recall that they were equipped with Walbro WYB carbs. If the engine runs OK at top speed, I'd suspect an obstructed idle circuit. If the carb is a WYB, I would guess it has fixed idle and hispeed jets. Slide the throttle cable down until the metal triangle is touching the idle screw. If the cable is too loose, push the cable up until the triangle is properly seated next to the idle screw.
