Dec 28, 2023 · A Perfect Day Trip to Nikko from Tokyo. I recently visited Japan for 3 incredible weeks in November. One of my favorite experiences was taking a day trip from Tokyo to the lovely mountain town of Nikko. Located about 150 km north of Tokyo in Tochigi Prefecture, Nikko makes for a rejuvenating escape from the bustling capital into nature.
